Nicholas A.
Mendon: 7/20/1968 - 6/24/2013. Beloved father of Austin and Anna; husband of Laurie Everhart; son of Eva B. Douglas and Leighton P. Everhart (Charmaine); brother of Douglas Everhart (Erica), Nathaniel Barron (Beth Anne), William Everhart and Jennifer Everhart; mother-in-law, Nancy Geoca; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Nick was born in Berkeley, CA and grew up in Dansville, NY. Nick loved skiing, biking, hiking and home renovation. Curious about everything and possessing a vast and sharp mind, Nick was an excellent conversationalist who enjoyed sharing his interesting knowledge with all those around him. He died in Greensboro, NC where he worked for Standard Dyes. Nick cherished his family above all else, and the devotion and love he exhibited daily for his children will be carried on for generations to come. He was a true friend to many, and his memory will be carried in all our hearts.
No prior calling. A Memorial Service for Nick will be held Saturday June 29th, 11 AM at Dansville United Methodist Church, 5 Chestnut Ave., Dansville, NY 14437. Flowers may be sent directly to the church, or donations may be made in his memory to the charity of your choice.

Gerry and I thought the world of Nick. I remember going to his camp and how we all had a good laugh at the old time nudie wall paper in the bathroom..and miss a good man who was always smiling.

Nick lived on second floor while we lived on the first! We moved out my condo just few months after Nick passed away; just yesterday we moved back and thought about Nick -when we saw the lock of his bike that he attached to a pole, still there as he left it ( few munites before the tragedy that took him away from his family and loved ones). I recall on that last munite before taking off, Nick was smiling and inviting my husband to ride with him on the new bike.This was the last time we saw him alive. We all were devasted! Still today as neighbors, we talk and remember Nick , the wonderful young man full of life and joy! Rest in peace.
Nick, you were an angel and will remain forever in our heart.
Nick always talked about his children and their mom and his dear mom.

I just heard today about Nick. I was shocked and saddened to hear the news. I had never met his family but he often spoke of his children with pride and love. I am so sorry for your loss. We had exchaned texts on June 23 and were making plans to meet for coffee to catch up. His positive attitude and sharp mind will me missed. The Everhart family will be in my thoughts and prayers!

Nick was a true friend who will be missed terribly. He was always a great source of encouragement and hope. His enthusiasm for life was his hallmark. I am so sorry for the pain his family must endure but I am sure his heart and soul will always be close to them. I am grateful to have known him and shared a part of his journey.

Laurie and family we are so sorry for your loss. Nick will surely be missed and especially his enthusiasm. I enjoyed his partnership in the Greenskeeper League at Greystone. He focused on every shot even the bad ones and at times I could not stop laughing. His cigar puffing with me was always critiqued as we played each hole. The best of times with a special person. We were so blessed to become friends with Nick through mutual fellowship. He was very close with my husband, Dave, and they connected over deep topics and healing conversations. Whenever I thought of Nick, I thought of the word "vibrant." He lit up a room and had a knack for both valuing your opinion and offering his own knowledge on a wide range of topics. He loved to banter! His smile, hugs and genuine warmth will never be forgotten. He truly touched our lives.
We are so sad for your family's loss. We will hold you in our prayers and are sending healing thoughts. "To live in the hearts we leave behind is not to die."

We are still in chock, and Nick will always be in our hearts. Nick just moved few weeks in our unit 5801 Battery Dr in Greensboro,and everyone here loves him. We spent the last minutes with him just before he took this test drive on the motorcycle on this afternoon of Monday June 24. Nick was such a wonderful person, and he will remain forever in our hearts. To all Nick's loved ones and family, accept our condolences.

Heart aches. So sorry Laurie, Austin, Anna and all Everhart family. Praying for you today, in the coming weeks and years. Nick was a life-long friend to my husband and myself since knowing him. Nick's smile and laughter will surely be missed along with those intellectual conversations so many of us enjoyed. We always appreciated and knew to "ask Nick's opinion" before making any new purchases on anything at all because he was sure to know all the research. We will miss you Nick!!
