Nicholas P. "Nick"
Fairport: July 7, 2015, age 24. Survived by his loving parents Martin & Deborah (Pulcino) Marchand; Brothers, Michael and Brandon (Trisha) Marchand and many loving Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends. Nick was an Eagle Scout, a graduate of McQuaid Jesuit High School and St. John Fisher College.
Nick had a way of making everyone feel special. He always lifted our spirits, made us laugh and made sure everyone enjoyed themselves. His smile, laughter and fun loving spirit was infectious. Nick holds a special place in everyone's heart.
Nick had a gift with making children happy; they were drawn to him with his kind, caring and charismatic personality. At family gathering you would always find Nick entertaining his young cousins and showing them a good time.
Calling hours, (TODAY) Wednesday, 4-7 PM at Falvo Funeral Home, 1295 Fairport Nine Mile Point Rd. (Rte. 250). On Thursday, please meet the family at St. Joseph's Church (Gebhardt Rd.) for his Funeral Mass at 11 AM. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to McQuaid Jesuit, 1800 S. Clinton Ave., Rochester, NY 14618.

I took courses at SJFC with Nick, and I still remember the 1st time I met him. He was friendly, sociable, and caring. He was always a joy to do class projects/activities with. Nick was a great person, one who I will miss dearly. I send my condolences to all of his family and friends.

Nick, I still can't believe this brother. You were such a great friend to me and I will always remember Packers football and running that dang hill. Mcquaid was always a blast with you man. I had the pleasure of meeting Nick when he subbed at Martha Brown. We often had the same lunch period. I remember the first time I met him, he told me three ways to say his last name. The next time we met,he said I could call him Nick, instead of Nicholas. He always left lunch early to go to his class before the kids got there. He was a true professional and always had a smile on his face.The kids loved when Nick was their sub,as did I. He was a wonderful young man.

I am so sorry to hear of Nick's passing. Nick went to St. Joe's with my sons, Alex and Nick Fields, and was one of my students while I was completing my student teaching there. Nick would give me good natured ribbing about my sneakers i wore while teaching at MCQ. He then included them in hi mural for senior project and brought me down to see them. Nick was a special kid. In a lot of ways he taught me how to coach kids. He put up with a lot from a guy who was just learning how to connect to kids in ways other than just an authority figure. He taught me at his very young age of 13 that adults and kids could be friends. I made a lot of mistakes with Nick as his football coach but he never once held it against me.
