Welsher, Nicholas Joseph

Webster: Nicholas "Nicky" Joseph Welsher, 27, of Webster, NY tragically passed away Friday July 22nd a victim of gun violence. Nicholas was born in Rochester, NY on December 23, 1988 to loving parents Thomas Welsher and Dianna Neilon (Stepfather) Robert Neilon. Nicholas graduated from Webster Schroeder High School in 2007 and went on to study fine art at M.C.C. Nicholas was extremely passionate about art, music, sports, dogs, and especially family. Nicholas had a love of hip-hop culture that extended to break dancing, graffiti and rap. He would spend hours drawing and writing poetry about love and life. He loved to compete in athletics including basketball and football. Nicholas was a child at heart, and planned his days around playing with his daughter Jaelyn he lived for moments that brought a smile to her face. Nicholas is survived by his daughter Jaelyn Wallenhorst, girlfriend Ashle Wallenhorst, his brothers TJ Welsher (Tiffany) and Brendan Welsher. Nicholas will be especially missed by Eddie, Ricky, and Bobby DiFranco and many other loving cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, (DiFranco, Sands, LaValley, Meagher), stepsiblings, friends and his faithful dog Rambo. Nicholas was predeceased by his grandparents and sister Jessica Neilon.

His wonderful spirit, joy and talents will be celebrated at a wake on Tuesday 5-8PM at Falvo Funeral Home, 1295 Fairport Nine Mile Point Rd., Webster. Funeral Services, Wednesday 11 AM at Bethel Christian Fellowship, East Avenue.

Words cannot express the hurt and pain you are experiencing. What words of comfort do you give the parents and siblings that just lost their son and brother. All we can say remember the good times, and cherish those memories.

Coach Bob and I remember Nicky in those Webster Wild Cat years and how resilient he was. He was strong and a leader on the team. His teammates looked up to him. They were great times when our boys joined forces together, and it was exciting to watch. Those are the times we will remember of Nicki.

Nicki grew up with my sons Nick and Anthony and are also devastated about hearing what has happened.

Are whole family can't express to you how sorry we are for the loss of a talented, good-natured young man who has left us too soon. Our hearts our heavy......

As a long time friend of my son Matt, I always enjoyed talking to Nick about basketball in his grade school years and his interest in art as an adult.
