Nicola Elia Obituary
Gates: Suddenly on Sunday, October 13, 2013, at age 36 in Cape Vincent, NY. He is survived by his father and mother, Nicola Sr. and Elaine Elia; brother, Joseph (Paula) Elia; nephew and niece, Joshua and Amanda Elia; uncles and aunts, Anthony and Vincenzina Elia, Marie and Steve Daniels, Lucio Elia of Italy, Jeanette and Joseph Vincelli; many cousins and friends.
On Saturday, October 19, friends are invited to attend his memorial visitation from 1-3PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Road, Gates, where his funeral services will follow at 3:00PM. Interment, private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to American Heart Assoc., PO Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220 in his memory.

Nick I'm really glad that I had car problems that Friday night because I never would have gotten to spend your last weekend of life with you you have a huge heart and you would do anything for a friend and October 12 was my birthday aand you know how sad I was and you gave me the best birthday I've had in years I can't believe you had me skipping rocks on my second try we had a wonderful day that day relaxing around your parents house I just wish that you were still here and I will always love you and miss you like crazy thank you for all that you have done for me. Nick and Elaine and Joey and Paula I am deeply sorry for your loss. I couldn't believe it when I found out this past Monday Nicky called me out of the blue the Saturday night before he past to apologize to me and my family for my other loss which was my sister Nicole. We were talking bout things his new and old Toyota camerys and about old times I shared my unfortunate news to Nick about getting cancer again and he was quick to jump all over me about doing what is expected of me even tho I told em I'm old and tired. Nicky said he was gonna come to gates and take me to lunch and then to cancer center and drop me off at the door " I said wow your not gonna stay he said nope you can do it your a fighter you always have been and will be"!!! What I'm getting at here is he always made me laugh n always knew how to put me in that fight mode. OMG I will miss him deeply and he will always be my Best Friend that I grew up with and I remember all his childhood Birthdays we went to Chuckie Cheeze and wild and crazy things we did growing up and when we lost our other friends Todd Westbrook,Carl. Cavutto, John and Tracy Rizzo he was there thick and thin because he knew that me and Tracy were together for along time and through my divorce as we'll Nicky was always there for me without a hesitations thought god I will miss you Nicky!!!
It's seems so hard to think about wanting to live when everyone around you that you love is moving on to the next life but knowing and having knownNicky in my life has taught me and showed me a lot. Here I suffer n mourn the loss of my sister Nicole and now my bestfriend Nicky I know that they will be pulling and pushing for me on my journey. Once again I'm sorry to all of Nicky's family and other friends and Nicky will never be forgotten and well missed and loved. R.I.P. my dear old friend.

Nick and Elaine, and Family. So sorry for your loss of Nicky. My Son Peter told me that he heard this had happened. I said no you must of heard wrong. I just really didn't want it to be. O M G My little Nicky, I LOVED him, he was just so cute, and his little voice, and stuffy nose. The coat and matching hat that you guys had got him. I remember when Nick came to the house with him and I seen him , I looked and couldn't believe how damn cute he was. OMG, you guys must be going out of your minds. I remember coming over your house now and then to even see him. When you guys would look at him, you just had sooooo much LOVE in your eyes for him. I know the LOVE parents have but yours was just something else. Well My LOVE and PRAYERS go out to you and FAMILY. RIP Nicky,

Nick was always such a great friend growing up to my brother Justin Taft! I remember all of us kids running around the neighborhood playing chase and hide and seek! He will be missed!
