Paul Collette Obituary

Paul E. Collette

Rochester - Paul E. Collette, 49, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 30, 2018. Paul was born in Syracuse, NY, son of Reginald P. and Carolyn Eisinger Collette. Paul graduated from ESM High School in 1987, and began his working career early, delivering the Post Standard as a child. He attended Bryant and Stratton College and American Intercontinental University, where he earned his master's degree. He was an altar server at St. Matthew's Church, and was a member of the Boy Scouts of America. He was employed at ALPCO and was so passionate about caring for the environment and recycling that he created his own company, Eco-Friendly Recycling. Paul always remembered special events and would drive daily from Syracuse to Rochester to help care for family members in need. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed listening to Metallica, collecting baseball cards, and making people laugh with his outgoing nature.

He was predeceased by his brother, Jimmy Collette.

Paul is survived by his loving wife of 11 years, Paula (Sherwood) Collette; his children, Jennifer (Ted) Sherwood, Kristina and Nicholas Shorey; his parents, Reginald P. and Carolyn Eisinger Collette; his sister, Ellen Eber; his brother Reginald J. (Heidi Seamans); sister-in-law, Carleen Collette; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill and Liz Sherwood; mother-in-law, Pauline Sherwood; best friend, Michael LaFlair; loving godfather to Alexandria, Anastasia and Gabriella; loving niece and nephew, Lauren and Jared Sherwood, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 from 3 to 6 pm, immediately followed by a funeral service in celebration of Paul's life at 6 pm at the THOMAS J. PIRRO JR. FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.) North Syracuse, NY.

I was so very sorry to learn of Paul's passing. My boyfriend and i used to go to Bathtub Billys whenever the Cowboys were playing. Paul was a really friendly guy and we loved chatting with him. We also had the pleasure of attending a Dallas vs Buffalo game from the front row with him.
Our sincere & heartfelt condolences to his entire family.

I never met any of Paul's family members or friends.
I knew Paul For years from Bathtub Billy's where we would hang out and watch the Dallas Cowboys play on many Sunday afternoons. We would always joke around and debate with each other over the team and football in general.
I'm Very sad and shocked to hear about his sudden passing. My condolences to his entire family.
