Peter Winters Obituary

Winters Jr., Peter J.
Victor: Saturday Oct 13, 2007 at age 63. He passed away after a long illness, at Geneva General Hospital with his loving wife by his side. Peter was born Aprill 22, 1944 in Brooklyn, NY, the sone of the late Peter Sr. and Theresa Winters. Peter served his country in the United States Navy during Vietnam. He was retired from teaching at Boces in both Flint and Goshen, NY. Peter was a reserve member of the Jeffersonville Fire Department. He enjoyed NASCAR and flying RC airplanes and helicopters. Peter had a great love for all animals, especially cats. Peter is survived by his loving wife, Sherrie Winters of Victor; sister Catherine (William) Meyers of Massapequa, NY; nephews, Robert and William; nieces, Eileen and Patricia (Michael). Peter was predeceased by his nephew James.
Funeral Services will be at the convenience of the family at the Patrick Funeral Home, 26 W. Main Street, Clifton Springs with the Reverend Albert Kamm presiding. Burial will take place in Long Island. Friends may contribute to Happy Tails animal Care Facility, 2976 County Rd. 48, Canandaigua, NY 14424 in Peter's memory.

To my Dear Brother, I do not believe I am writing this, you know this should not be you it should be me, but God had other plans. I am so glad I got to see you the week before. I know you made sure you would be there when I arrived. You put on a great show and I believed it!!! I love you, Pete, and I will miss you forever. Love your sister, Catherine

We played as children on Fenimore St. & East NY Ave, Brooklyn, vacationing at the shore of the Great South Bay on Shirley, LI , biked from our respectve homes in Bellmore & kept in touch throughout 5 memorable decades. Our cousin Peter will be sadly missed.....
