Philip Greenstine Obituary
Pittsford: Passed away on August 13, 2017, at the age of 89 after suffering from Alzheimer's disease for many years. Predeceased by his parents, Irving and Matilda Greenstine; and brother, Arnold Greenstine. Survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Phyllis (Sanzel) Greenstine; children, Seth Greenstine and Sheralyn Taylor; step-children, Richard (Jody) Feldman and Charles (Simone) Feldman; grandchildren, Paige, Cassie, Dominique, Aspen and Piper.
Philip did his undergraduate work at the University of Pennsylvania. He received his dental degree from Temple University & did his post graduate work at E.I.O.H at the University of Rochester. Philip served the Rochester community as an orthodontist for many years. He also had many interests, including Shakespeare, the opera, skiing, golf & his volunteer work.
Funeral Services will be held on WEDNESDAY at 11 AM at Temple Beth El (139 Winton Road South). Interment, Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family will sit Shiva on Wednesday from 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM at 32 Hill Creek Road. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or E.I.O.H. at the University of Rochester in Philip's memory. Phyllis,
I was so sorry to hear that Phillip's long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's has ended. While the pain of losing a loved one never ends, at the same time it takes the burden of being a caregiver off your shoulders and should give you a sense of relief. It was inspiring for me to see your dedication to feeding and comforting him during his stay at HLC. May God bless you and your family.
