Mr Cilano was my English teacher for two different levels at jmhs class of 1980..we used to cheer him on as ran the track almost everyday at school...he was great to talk to...he had a rule for every minute you were late for class you had to stay after school that many minutes.....well he would tell us smoking was not good for us and before class we would go out the exit near his class for a quick smoke and he would hold the doors closed for a few minutes after the bell so we had to stay after that many minutes and discuss how bad smoking was and smile doing it was just the same he is one of my favorite all time teachers...may God bless you and yours...Mr Cilano may you always fly high !!!!

So sorry for your loss. Mr Cilano was my favorite English teacher at John Marshall HS 1974. He was fun to talk to in his class. What great man. He certainly had a full life. God Be with him in his next journey.

My deepest sympathy to my cousins; Bobby, Kristen, Katie, and Anne. No matter how old you are, when both parents have left us it is hard. Knowing they are together again I hope brings some comfort.
May God bless you all.

My sympathy to the entire Cilano family. "Richie" and I grew up in the same Annunciation Rochester neighborhood and were Altar Boys there, went to #39 School, St. Andrew's and St. Bernard's Seminaries in Rochester, NY. So sad to know of his sufferings and so glad he is now with his wife Mary. Rest in Peace my friend! PAX ! Bob

Our condolences to the entire Cilano family. Fr. Richard was at our church St. Matthew's Church in Glendale Heights, IL doing what he loved to do. Our church was so very blessed to have him at our church for the length of time he was with us. We will always miss his smile he had on his face every Mass he said. God Bless Fr. Richard, until we meet him again. We now have another angel watching down over us all.
