Richard Howland Obituary
Richard H.
Rochester: August 11, 2016, at age 71. Survived by his sister, Nancy Mabie of GA, and many lifelong friends. Richard served two tours in Vietnam with the Army Signal Corps and was a teacher in the Rush-Henrietta School District for over 30 years. Richard enjoyed golf, writing short stories, playing the guitar and summers in the 1000 Islands.
Please join friends for an informal gathering on TUESDAY from 5 - 7 PM at Crawford Funeral Home (495 N Winton Rd., between Browncroft & Humboldt). I worked with Richard for several years -- he made the days pass more easily with his wit, humor and enthusiastic storytelling. He taught me so much about literature and teaching that I will always carry with me. Thanks, Richard, for everything. You will be missed.

Dick has been a friend of mine, on and off for more than 60 years. Loved his sense of humor and quick wit. His passing is a great loss to all who knew him.
