To Chief Longdue's Family, I served as an Auxiliary Police Sgt under the Chief after serving under Chief Frey. Chief Longdue was always there to see if he could help, and he taught me a lot about leadership. He represented the IPD well. As a midnight shift dispatcher, it was not uncommon for me to see him and have him ask if I needed a break or something to eat or drink, that is the kind of person he was. I will miss him, as will the IPD and the town. The Longdue family will be in my family's thoughts and prayers.

Bob,
You were like a second father to us. I'll always remember when you went to Quantico, Va to study at the FBI Academy and also when you became Chief of Police. Very proud accomplishments.

God Bless you and may you rest in peace.
Always,
Roslyn Maio-Cirilla

So sorry to hear about Bobs passing. Truly one of the most intelligent men I've ever known. In addition, Bob helped me out of a few jams back in the day and was a good friend to my father in law. May he Rest In Peace.
