News Death Notice

OUTRAM, Billie L. 69 of Cable, died at 9:54 A.M. Tuesday, March 24, 2009 in the Springfield Regional Medical Center High Street Campus. He was born June 25, 1939 in Cable, a son of Oram A. and Margaret Louise (Wingfield) Outram. Billie graduated from Triad High School in 1957, was semi-retired from Urbana Parts with over 35 years of service, was a member of Middletown Church of God in Cable, Director of the Mad River Steam and Gas Show which he has been a member for many years and was active in tractor pulling events throughout the area. Survivors include his wife of 17 years Caroline (Instine), daughter, Margaret Hager and her husband John of Cable, son Rob Outram and his wife Sandy of Urbana, two grandchildren, Kiley Outram and Lyndsay Thorpe, great grandson, TyRen Scott, 3 stepdaughters, Sherry Turnmire and her husband Eric of Urbana, Nancy Norris of Wapakoneta, and Paula McCreight and her husband Steve of Urbana, six step grandchildren, Ryan, Emily and Arianne Turnmire, and Britton, Alayna and Owen McCreight, brothers, Charles Oram Outram and his wife Nellie of Springfield, and Max Outram and his wife Susan of Phoenix, AZ. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda (Davis) on August 20, 1987, his parents and a brother, James Outram. The family will receive friends 4:00 9:00 P.M. Thursday, March 26, 2009 in the WALTER & SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Urbana where funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday, March 27, 2009 with Rev. Robert Instine officiating.
