Doug and I go back to the 8th grade. He was best man at my wedding. We travled through the music scene of the 60's 70's and 80's together. I will miss him.

i went to college with doug. haven't heard from him since his Chesterfield Kings days. he was always ahead of his time regarding the music. he was the guy who would be buying the music that would hit big two years out.
i would love for one of his friends to email me and fill me in on his later years. i will miss him.

I first met Doug when I was a young adult back in 1980, and though I haven't seen him in a long time (too long; you never realize how time flies until something like this happens and it's too late), we never really lost touch with each other (at least through Christmas cards) till this past year. (Regrettably, I only learned of his parent's passing at his funeral.) Doug was one of the kindest, gentlest, most thoughtful and caring people I have ever known (as well as a very talented drummer) and a great inspiration and influence on my life. He is very deeply missed and will never be forgotten.

Doug was a really nice mellow guy! Fun to hang out with at the record shows where I knew I could run into him.
He will be remembered and missed.

A great drummer and above all, a great human being. Haven't seen him in a while, but he was always thought of & mentioned among friends.
