Samuel Pierson Obituary
Fairport: (December 30, 2008 - August 8, 2012). Sammy died in an accident on Canandaigua Lake; a place where he loved to play, swim and collect lake glass. He was much loved and will be forever missed by his adoring family and friends.
He is survived by his parents John "Jake" Pierson and Kerry Anne (Kelly) Pierson, his big brother John, his grandparents, Jim "Bops" and Jill "Grams" Kelly and Mitch "Grump" and Louisa "Zoey" Pierson; his aunts and uncles Sean Kelly (NYC), Megan (Kelly) and Joe Barbato, Trip and Ani Pierson, and his four cousins, Joey and Anna Barbato and Hap and Tate Pierson, and countless friends and family.
A memorial service is planned for Saturday August 18th at 2:00 pm at First Presbyterian Church, Pittsford, New York. Please wear blue—it was Sammy's favorite color. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Sammy Pierson Memorial Fund c/o Rochester Area Community Foundation, 500 East Avenue, Rochester, NY 14607 or www.racf.org/donate. While I do not know Sammy or his family. My heart aches for the grief that the family must be going through. We do not know one another, however your horrible tragedy has affected many in the Rochester area.
