Rochester - Sarepta (Sari) Mable Pierpont Ostrum, age 98, of Rochester, NY, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2021 at the Friendly Home. Sari was born to Marjorie and Raymond Pierpont in Winfield, KS on October 27, 1922. She graduated in 1944 from the University of Kansas with a BA degree majoring in music. A lifelong Christian Scientist, she negotiated life's challenges with grace and humility. In 1990, she moved to Rochester to be closer to her children. She will be remembered for her love of people, music, antiques, and homemade meals including family Thanksgivings with her rolls, cranberry ice and pies.
