Shawn Mulvaney Obituary
Livonia: Loving husband and father passed away in Rochester on 4/28/15. He is survived by his loving wife and sweetheart of 19 years Mairead, daughters Clara (5) and Lila (3), parents Steve and Cindy Mulvaney, sisters Jennifer and Stephanie, in-laws Ed and Maggie Finucane, brother-in-law EP (Ed) Finucane, several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and loving family and friends.
Shawn grew up in Livonia NY where he graduated High School in 1998. He was an Army Infantry Veteran and served a tour in Bosnia. More than anything, Shawn loved his girls.
Calling hours are Friday May 1st from 1-3pm and 6-8pm at Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, 21 Big Tree Road, Livonia. Memorial Service to honor Shawn's life will be held on Saturday May 2nd at 11am at The United Methodist Church of Livonia, 21 Summers Street, Livonia.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to a trust account dedicated for Clara and Lila's education. Donations to the education fund can be made out to "Edmund Finucane for Clara and Lila Mulvaney." 159 City View Dr., Rochester, NY 14625.

Cindy, Steve, Jen, Steph, Mairead... I don't know there are any words I could say that would help. I am a simple guy with simple thoughts. That's what was my draw to Shawn since we were young. He was the opposite of me in so many ways. A thinker, quick-witted, and a never-failing friend. Since our days tooling around on the lake to driving home from Drum in the worst snow storms, he was never farther than a phone call away. He could get us out of trouble as quick as I could get us into it. So many of my most cherished memories growing up had Shawn in the midst. He was a real friend and my heart is truly broken, for all of us who got to meet Shawn. My prayers and my heart are with you now and always. I wish I could be there for you.

Oh my heart is heavy for my family. Cindy, Steve, Jeni, Steph the children, his children that were blessed to have Shawn for as long as they did, but sad that they have lost this precious man, brother, father, uncle, husband. Dear cousin of mine, the memories I have will give me smiles and a heart full of love, until we meet again. The emptiness created by your physical absence will be hard for so many to endure.
