I was Sid and Nancy's house cleaner for the past 5 1/2 years. It took awhile, but Sid warmed up to me and would chat about bits of history or whatever he was watching on the TV. I admired his peaceful acceptance of his condition, especially when he had bed sores and was confined for weeks at a time. He didn't complain - just carried on with dignity and courage, and taught me a lot about patience. The house will be so awfully quiet now, and I'll miss those "reminders" to plug the computer back in after vacuuming!

First knew Sid back in the 60's, when we worked for W C Sykes Co. Later with Ontario Pipe. Our last job together was in Batavia with Seacoast from Buffalo. My middle name is Harry, sometimes referred to as Harold. I always made out that I hated to be called Harold, and of course Sid always poured it on. Hope he's enjoying his body whole again. God Bless

Sid was one of a kind. As his aide he never gave me a break as to pick my brain of what actor played in what western or what I should know about all kinds of history. It was nothing to go to his house in the morning and for him to say "your early"or as the evening time was the same way, with a smile on his face.. I enjoyed chatting with him about many different events that were happening or talking about what my kids were up to. He always was full of ideas and many words of wisdom. I really enjoyed the time I had with Sid, I'll always remember the good laughs we had and the sayings he shared with me. I'm going to miss him dearly but I know he is walking all over again. My condolences to Nancy and family love you all, God bless ....,

I remember the family get togethers Uncle Lester used to have. It was there that Uncle Sid taught me how to slow dance! He had me stand on his feet as we "danced" to the music. Wonderful memories. So sorry to hear of his passing. My heart goes out to all the family.
