Stephen Berry Obituary
Greece - May 21, 2019 at age 71. Predeceased by his parents, Morris E. & Dorothy S. Berry. He is survived by his daughter, Shannon (Tim Bauhs) Berry; grandchildren, Jack & Katherine; brother, Marc A. (Nancy A.) Berry; niece, Heather (Carl Davidson-Sokol) Davidson; great niece & nephew, Alaina & Caleb.
Mr. Berry graduated from Greece Olympia High School where he was a talented athlete and made many life-long friends whose support and well wishes were so very appreciated. He enlisted in the Air Force, serving 4 years with time spent in Vietnam & Thailand. After serving his country, Mr. Berry returned to Rochester and attended Monroe Community College. He received his associate degree in 1972 and went on to attend the University of Miami, graduating from Florida International University in 1974. He played baseball for all 3 schools. He began his career working for Specialty Restaurant Corporation which took him to Florida, Pennsylvania and Colorado. He continued his work in the restaurant business in New Mexico and Nevada. The family wishes to express a sincere thank you to the caring staff at the Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital in Hines, IL. The family would also like to express gratitude to Gary Tarbox (deceased) and Bobbie Shuman, your friendship was invaluable. Steve and i were roomates our first year in the usaf at offutt afb in omaha, neb. his ambition at that time was to play baseball at lsu. he stopped by to see me in ohio on his way home when he was discharged—the last time i had contact with him. i just happened on the notice of his passing on the
internet. condolences.

Steve Berry was my best friend in the USAF. We were stationed together in Thailand. He came to Princeton WV one time to visit me. I am absolutely broken hearted to hear of Steve's passing. It truly leaves a hole in my heart.
