By sheer accident I found this years too late to be seen. Even so, I remember Tate as one of the funniest guys I ever met. I tried so hard to be the goody two shoes in a class full of pranksters, and I still got caught by the nuns laughing at that damn tape recorder of his. Hope you´re still laughing.

So very sorry to hear this very sad news. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. You brought quite a few smiles to all who knew you from childhood. Quite the memories, we will all never forget.
Rest in Peace.

My most vivid memory of Tommy was him asking my mother if he could marry me. We were in the 6th or 7th grade. He seemed most sincere and the memory still makes me laugh. I'm so sorry to hear that the road was difficult and your end too soon. May the pain you suffered be the fire that liberates your heart and mind. Love to you

I am so sorry to hear of your passing. I have so many fond memories of growing up with you and our friends at St. Philip Neri and Bishop Kearney. Reading all the other memories of you made me laugh. Our after school hockey games are one of the best memories of our childhood. You always had a way to make us laugh. You will be missed but will always be in our thoughts and prayers.

How Tom got the nickname "Tate". True story, in the early 70s' while at St. Philip Neri School. Ideman becomes" Idaho" (don't ask me how!)... Idaho becomes "Idaho Potato"... Idaho Potato becomes "Tater Tots" (again, don't ask me how!)... Tater Tots then becomes "Tater"... and finally Tater became "Tate".

Dear Christina and Francesca,
My deepest sympathy for the loss of your father. Michelle loved him so much. They stood up in my wedding together and you could see it in their eyes. I was saddened to hear of your loss and the hardships Michelle has suffered as well. I remember when your Mom and I went to Hawaii. She could not wait to get home to your Dad. She mooned over his picture for 2 weeks. I know they would want you girls to be happy!

Tom, I believe I knew you many years ago. You were an extraordinary person and it saddens me to find out that you were dealt a bad hand of cards. You were a very nice person who should have only experienced a very nice life. Please rest peacefully and know the joy you brought many people. Thank you.

I went to BK with Tom, but didn't know him until he came to our 30 year reunion. I had a couple of great conversations with Tom during that weekend of celebrations. Rest in peace, my friend.

Tate, sorry to read life wasn't good to you hopefully you have found the peace you were looking for. Too bad the "boys" couldn't get together one last time. I always smile at the memory of when you tape recorded the school dismissal bell at St. Philip Neri then played it back while we were standing in the hallway waiting to leave for the day. The early dismissal we got did not sit very well with Sister Rita Marie she wanted to know who did it... we never told..

to tom's family and friends, i was one of the original crew that tom used to run with,i just want you to know that a piece of me died when i heard the news. his dad used to have a green buick electra that tate used to pick us all up in and take us to 747. one time he had a birthday party at his house, and joe tantillo had his van parked in the way, so tom thought he would move it for him.well,he cut the corner to close to another car and ripped the side door off. not too funny at the time but we talked about it for years after.back in st. phillips, he used to come to school with doggie biscuits for a snack and actually sit there and eat them.the stories are endless, i could go on forever.just like my memory of him.i am deeply sorry for your loss, he was a great guy taken from us much too soon.
