Thomas Murphy Obituary
Webster: On June 8, 2011. He is survived by his family, daughters, Maeve (Mike) Kelly and Ethna (Nicolai) Hinrichsen; sons, Declan, Colm, and Brendan; their mother, Nancy; 9 grandchildren; 1 brother, Declan, and his loving dog, Maggie. Tom was a PGA golf professional and owned Webster Golf Club.
Friends are invited to meet the family Saturday, June 11th, at 9 am at Holy Trinity Church, 1460 Ridge Road, Webster, for his Funeral Mass. Interment at Holy Trinity Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heritage Christian Services Foundation, 349 W. Commercial St., Suite 2795, East Rochester, NY 14445. Memories and Condolences

So sorry for your loss. I have 2 main memories of Mr. Murphy. One was when he agreed to pay Pat Kelly Jr., Tom Blind, Colm and myself for shoveling the Murphy's driveway. He then proceeded to shovel 90% of the driveway himself, paid all of us anyways, and told us what a great job we did. We were little punks! Are you kidding me??? The other one was when he was splashed on the front of the sports page of the D&C, with the headlines "MURPHY WINS LAKESHORE." I know I still have that section somewhere!!! Hard to believe that the Imperial Drive Fearsome Foursome is gone: Pat Kelly Sr., Roland Blind, Frank Palazzolo, and now Tom Murphy.
The Murphys are a beautiful family, and all of our prayers are with them at this difficult time.

Ahhh...what memories you bring, even so many years later. You were an amazing man who showed all the wonderful things that hard work, humor, and love can do. We know you are smiling down on the world...thank you for touching the lives of so many people...

My favorite memory was when i was training Tom at Penfield Racket. We were at the pull down machine; he was sitting waiting to do the next set; we were talking about football. Tom taped a football game and then timed how long it took to play the game. He told me he did not like the game because of how short it really was. To this day i thank him for that insite. Maybe your woundering what I got from that. Don't waist your time on doing things that waist your time. Tom, I thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your life.

We always enjoyed our many years of membership at Webster. We have many fond memories that we took from WGC. .
He will be missed by many as we remember him sitting at his favorite spot at the table by the door.

So Sorry to hear about Uncle Tom. Colm and Brendan I was so glad Max and I had a chance to meet you guys and have lunch with Tom last year. It had been so long since we had seen him.
