David Hughes Obituary

David R. Hughes

April 28, 1958 - February 28, 2024

CALDWELL - David R. Hughes, 65, passed away on February 28, 2024. David was born in Salem on April 28, 1958, to Calvin and Martha Hughes. David grew up in Jefferson and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1976.

Dave later received his Associates Degree from Portland Community College in design and drafting. He then worked in Salem, Anchorage, and most recently, the Boise area.

David had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and riding his motorcycle. We will all miss his zest for life.

He is survived by his brother, Brian (Lisa) and his sister, Susan Hughes, as well as his nephews and nieces.

A family interment service will be held in April at Jefferson Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Shriner's Hospital for Children.

Cheers to David: A great son, brother, nephew, uncle, and friend!

David (Howard). You were a great brother-in-law and fun to work with at your Dad´s ranch. I can remember one time when we were out in your Duster and had one of the best times of my life. We shared some good laughs.
