I knew Mary as a client and am, of course, heart broken to hear of this tragedy. My compassion and prayers go out to all who knew her, especially her children, sister and parents.

To Merry's beautiful amazing children, Andi and Tony, Leslie and Andi's husband Jacob,
There are no words to express my heartfelt sorrow for your family.
My name is Gina Siler.
Merry was my childhood BEST friend...so much I can say that your Mom, Leslie your sister for most practical purposes 'was' my childhood. Her, Pogo and Munchie made my childhood unbeatable!
But it was more than just Merry, Pogo and Munchie, because what came along with Merry and Munchie was......yep, Mac and Willie.....which then came along with Marcia keeping all the cowboys fed ready to spend hours upon hours 'working' so hard at having fun, inevitably trying to make it back home before our ponies collapsed...(true fact). Marcia always had the home-fort SO cozy with always something warm and yummy for us to hog down. Mac loved 'Chip' more than I have ever seen a dad love a daughter!
Leslie, idk if you remember me? I'd be surprised if you didn't considering I was a little hyper and obnoxious; probably the reason Merry and I meshed :). Merry was ALWAYS so sweet and mostly 'non-obnoxious'...unless 'I' made her do it .
I could go on and on, but now's not the time.
I wanted to share text your Mom sent me this this summer when we were reconnecting:
Good morning!!! This is Merry!
Do youremember at 4H fair time, when you and I both put on Bryce Barklowe's huge work overalls. One of us was forward, one of us was backwards. And we rode Jaime's horse, Kachina, in the evening costume parade. It was a hoot!!!!
We laughed so hard!!!.
Love and so much sympathy to you all.
Gina
If any of you down the road want to hear stories about your Mom when she was little, I would be honored to share.

My heart goes out to her children and closest friends because although our friendship is only about 4 years old, I´m heartbroken. One of the sweetest souls I´ve ever known and I miss her.

I knew Merry as my hairdresser when Clair was out of town. I lived in Philomath where my kids went k-12. My son was in wrestling for two years before graduating in 1992. Merry was always upbeat and cheery as we would chat about the latest in Philomath and her children. She loved her kids very much! I offer my deep condolences for the loss of your mother and sister.

I was so sorry to read about Merry's death and the circumstances. I knew her when I first came to Oregon 30 years ago. We had a lot of fun while she cut my hair, and it was always nice to run into her around town.
