Billy Campbell Obituary

Billy (Bill) Ray Campbell

Billy (Bill) Ray Campbell, 83, was born June 20, 1938 in Denton TX to William Ralph and Daisy Elizabeth (Sparks) Campbell. He graduated from Denton High School in 1957. He married Linda Hall and they had two children Rhonda (Gary) Lawson and Billy Dwayne (Norma) Campbell. In 1970 he married Elaine Griffin and that brought three additional children Debbie (Len) Pasko, Diana Griffin, and Paul Griffin. Together they had Mitzi (Ty) Scottino.

He was a member of Masonic Lodge of Era TX, the Garland Jaycees. He served in the Texas Army National Guard from 1961 to 1965. He retired from Peterbilt Motors in Denton after 19 years and was president of the Peterbilt Bass Fishing Club. He loved to fish, bowl and was a lovable prankster. He loved his Texas teams - Longhorns, Cowboys and Rangers. And Crickett, his dog, held a special place.

Preceded in death by his parents and brother Jerry Campbell

He is survived by his wife Elaine, children Rhonda, Dwayne, Debbie, Diana, Paul, and Mitzi, grandchildren Josh, Brittney, Jennifer, Krystal, Riley, Scott, Shawn, Kaitlin, Peyton and 8 great grandchildren, sister Joyce Campbell and adopted sister Nancy Brooks.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 29, 2021, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville.

He was a Christian that knew his Lord and savior. He found comfort in the promises from the Lord in scripture.
