It was a pleasure to know and work with Carla at ICCS. After my son was in her 5th grade class, two years later she was my daughter's 3rd grade teacher. It was only then after visiting my sister in North Little Rock did I discover Carla had also taught my three nephews at IHM. What are the odds! I always appreciated Carla's sense of humor. She cared so much for the children, and she was also one of the last teachers to leave at the end of the day, making sure her classroom was all ready for her students. While the halls of ICCS will be less bright without her to grace them, I know Heaven became brighter today. We will miss you, dear Carla! May God bring comfort and peace to your family, and may His perpetual light shine upon you.

Every Thursday at the children's ICC mass, we saw Mrs. Carla Ann Takach with her class. She was highly respected by her students. My condolences to the family, friends and the Immaculate Conception Catholic School staff. May the Perpetual Light Shine Upon her.

Mrs Takach had the “honor” of being the first teacher who taught all 3 of my sons at IHM in North Little Rock. It was such a coincidence when we discovered she also was teaching my nephew and niece when she moved back to Texas and taught at ICCS in Denton. May her legacy live on her children and grandchildren and may her soul Rest In Peace.

Carla will be deeply missed by her ICCS family! Her quick wit and dry sense of humor was one of a kind! Rest in peace my dear, sweet friend!

It is with deep grief that we reflect on the passing of Carla Takach. Carla died on her way home following the Meet the Teacher Night at Immaculate Conception Catholic School in Denton where she was so very excited to return to a part-time position to assist in Kindergarten following her retirement two years ago. Carla has been a veteran teacher and wonderful presence here at ICCS for many years.

As we all know, no one is replaceable as each of us bring our God-given talents to this world. Carla will be deeply missed. Her quick wit, dedication to her family, to Catholic education, to her country as a veteran, and especially to her faith, has touched the lives of countless children and families that span the generations.

To her husband Bob, to her son Bob and his family, who are part of our ICCS family, to her colleagues and friends, we offer our prayers. While our faith will sustain us, and while we are confident that Carla will be one of our many advocates in Heaven, our grief is profound at the passing of a dear colleague and friend.

Carla was my second Mother. Our Mother was busy with our little James. Carla took care of me. She was a gentle soul. I picture her in Heaven with a class of little children. Praise Jesus she is home. She is safe in Jesus's arms.
