Leroy Francis Koerner, 66, of Collinsville, TX, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018 in Denison, TX. Leroy was born July 10, 1951 in Denton, TX to William and Marcella (Bindel) Koerner. He married Charlotte Free on August 1, 1980 in Denton, TX.
Leroy is survived by his wife, Charlotte of Collinsville, TX; son, Travis Koerner of Collinsville, TX; three daughters, Katie Koerner and boyfriend Bo Brock of Sherman, TX, Molly Koerner of Collinsville, TX, Callie Sawyer and husband Mark of Denton, TX; three brothers, Floyd Koerner of Pilot Point, TX, Donnie Koerner, Gary Koerner of Pilot Point, TX; two sisters, Linda Newton of Granbury, TX, Sharon Stuckly of Pilot Point, TX; and sister-in-law, Carol Free of Bolivar, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Marcella.
Visitation will be held 7:00PM-8:00PM, Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Slay Memorial Chapel in Aubrey, TX. A funeral service will be held at 10:00AM, Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Slay Memorial Chapel in Aubrey, TX with Rev. Luther Slay officiating. Interment will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery in Pilot Point, TX. Online condolences may be shared at www.slaymemorialfuneralhome.com.
Arrangements are under the direction of Terri Slay and Slay Memorial Funeral Center.

Well you slipped away from us! You did a great job taking care of the kids making sure they had what they needed and supporting them as they played in the band. You always made sure the celebrations were filled with joy and decorations at Christmas, Halloween, and Easter. I regret we did not have more time to spend laughing ,joking and maybe drinking a beer or two. You will walk with the Lord now and we will all see you in our own time. God Bless you Leroy as you watch down on he rest of us. We will miss your laugh and sense of humor.
