Martha Jones Obituary
Martha Diane Jones also known to many as (Aunt) DIDI... was born April 17, 1950 in Denton, Texas. She passed October 6, 2021 in Denton,Texas as a result of an auto accident.
She attended Ponder Schools for 12 years. She attended University of North Texas (North Texas State University). She had many clerical jobs in her lifetime but she had spent the last 19 years working for RR Donnelly/ aka Moore Business Forms. She was an Inside Sales Representative, with plans to retire in 2022.
Her favorite pastimes were walking her dog, having Starbucks, and attending/ or watching football games.
She was preceded in life by her parents Irene and Woodrow Jones of Ponder Texas, her sister Louise Shaver of Denton, Texas, and her brother Charles Jones of Denton, Texas.
She leaves behind Cecil Jones of Krum, Texas, Gene Jones and wife Dean Jones of Yantis,Texas, Sandra Dvoracek of Moore, Oklahoma, and many family and friends. Including her canine companion Sophie Jones.
She battled an autoimmune disease known as Sarcoidosis for much of her life. Her wishes were to help others with the disease. Her body was Willed to Science for research studies at UT Southwestern in Dallas, Texas.
A Memorial of her life will be held on Oct. 24 from 11 am -12:30 pm at Sunstone Village where she resided for the past 10 years. Following the memorial a memory box burial at Jackson Cemetery in Krum, Texas will be held at 1:00 pm.
No flowers please. Donations to Sarcoidosis study, or Animal Rescue.
