I have already written a small memorial to Pete and appreciate the opportunity to write more. Pete was one of those "unforgettable" characters. Always quiet and modest in word and deed. But a giant in sheep's clothing. He was always willing to help in time of need. He inspired confidence and respect for the great and good man that he was. He was a man that I feel left many good deeds in his path through life, but never chose to speak of them or in any way extol his own self worth. I will always appreciate the great example he was to all of us.

Dear Pete Work, it was such an honor to have known you. I remember having met you back in 1987 when I fist began working for the Mitchell's. You were always so gracious and fair. You were a wise and caring business man, very "old school".

Thank you for being one of the few that showed me what doing business the "right way" means.

Rest In Peace.

Sincerely,

Carol Ryan

I always liked, admired and respected Peter Work. They moved to Denton the same year we did, so we have known them a long time. I was always impressed by his kindness and his gentle spirit. He was a humble, modest man. It was fun to learn of all the other skills and accomplishments in his life, of which he never spoke. What a legacy he has left behind! 8 beautiful children and all those wonderful grands and great grands! We will all miss him!

I love Pete and Dayonne Work. I had no idea of all the talents Pete had. I just knew he was a wonderful guy and they were wonderful people. We were friends back in Louisville, KY, in 1967-69 The world has lost another good man. He will be heaven's gain. God bless his sweet wife as she goes through this trial and God bless his children. Melva McKenzie, Mountain Home, ID--Really appreciate the times they stopped in Idaho to visit us when they were traveling around visiting children and grandchildren.

We treasure the time we were given by God to have Pete Work in our lives. Reading the obituary I realized my family moved to Denton the same year as Pete and Dayonne. Together we saw a lot of changes in Denton and growth of Zion in that part of the country.
