Robert was about three and a half years older than me, but our father made sure we both had a knife with which to "whittle" with. Robert would often tell me that my knife wouldn't cut hot butter. That insult to my knife, would always start trouble, which is what he wanted to begin with.

"One Arm Bob" was a true legend at Ericsson. He had been working there years before I joined and I only once worked with him at a customer site, though I met him a few times in the office. However, I've never met anyone who had more stories about him than Bob. Well over 25 years later I still tell people about some of the legendary stories. Sometimes I wonder how many are true, but I know some are. He had quite the personality and everyone loved working with him. I still have a copy of the Wall Street Journal that had his picture on the front page when he was participating in the one arm shooting competition. He lived a fulfilling life. I cherish the memories I have of him. We will be missed by many.

I had not been in touch with Bob for years, but think of him frequently. We worked together and were in Sweden together where he especially befriended my 3 children, inspiring my 13 year old to write a poem about how he had inspired her. Wish I had seen this earlier, so that I could have attended the services.

I am very sorry for your loss.
I first met Mr. Ancell when I worked at Martindale Feed Mill a few years back. He was always so kind and would visit with me. What an interesting and fulfilling life he lived. His helpers were also friendly and kind.
