Adair Horsley Obituary

Pat Horsley Adair of Highlands Ranch, Colorado passed away peacefully Monday, January 28, 2014. Her late husband, Dr. Edwin L. Adair predeceased her on April 21, 2007. She is survived by her two sons Van Horsley of Englewood, Colorado and Lee Horsley of Los Angeles, California and eight step children, Gary, Jeff, Randall, Mark, Linda (Prenzlow), John, Matthew and Thomas Adair; numerous grandchildren; and her brother, Dallas Perkins of Abilene, Texas. Born in Stamford, Texas on September 17, 1928 to Raymond Lee Perkins and Lora Haskell Smith, Pat attended Abilene High School and MacMurray College where she met her first husband, Bruce Horsley (deceased), of Muleshoe, Texas (father of Ron (deceased), Van and Lee). Pat spent her career in the medical community and was an accomplished singer, guitar player and competitive golfer. She traveled the world with golf clubs in tow and will be remembered by her friends and family for her keen intellect and great sense of humor. Prior to its closing, Pat was a long time member of Emanuel Methodist Church in Englewood, Colorado where she loved singing in the choir. At Pat's request, no formal memorial service will be held, but her ashes will be entombed at a later date at Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, Colorado, next to her beloved husband of 31 years, Edwin L. Adair. In lieu of flowers or other gifts, Pat requested donations be sent to the Salvation Army General Assistance Center, 2201 Stout St., Denver, CO 80220 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
