Alexis Stanley Obituary

Our Beloved Alexis, Death must be so beautiful. To lie in the soft brown earth, with the grass waving above one's head, and listen to silence. To have no yesterday, and no tomorrow. To forget time, to forgive life, to be at peace. Your smile, your beauty and your light from within will never be forgotten. In our hearts forever. Love, your adoring boyfriend, Tim, and your Colorado family of friends whose lives you have touched.

Dear Alexis,

I have known you throughout middle and high school. We had several classes together. You were a genuine person, an athlete, and I will never forget you as a classmate and the yearbook photos we shared. Until my time has come I will continue to visit your burial and many others. Forever in our hearts and I will miss you.

Dear Shelley, Doug, Jessica and Darren,

I was shocked, devastated and deeply saddened to hear of Alexis' death. I hadn't seen her in years but I have such vibrant and wonderful memories of her from diapers to highschool. She was a wonderful and beautiful girl and I can barely imagine what you are all going through. I am thinking of you daily and hoping there is some solace to be found somewhere.

My deepest condolences to the family. The Bible tell of a time when "death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." I hope this will bring your family a measure of comfort in this time of grief.

Dear Shelley, Doug, Jessica and Darren,

I am still trying to digest this very sad and totally shocking event.......I have always lived by the tenet that life is far too short; for some more than others. Here is a perfect example of a wonderful, beautiful and caring soul taken from us far too soon, and I cannot help but wonder what the future would have held for such a kind and caring person. I guess the number of people signing this guest book shows how much she was loved.

It has been so many years since I have seen all of you and Alexis......seeing her beautiful face and smile bring back so many memories. I still recall her beauty both inside and out. I know that things must seem so hard and unexplainable now, but I know that time will not only help heal these hurtful days, but her memory will remain with so many people remembering her with these wonderful, touching words and memories.

I am sorry that I will not be able to make it down to the Binghamton area for the service, but you can rest assured that I will be thinking of Alexis and all of her friends and family. I truly believe that we all leave a mark in the universe when we leave, and Alexis' will be wide and wonderful. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you and I will forever hold her memory and those of her family and loved ones in my heart. Please know that I will be thinking of all of you in the days ahead - be strong and think about the good times and the moments that will stay with you in the years ahead. Take care and be strong.

Kindest Personal Regards,
Kevin

Dear Alexis's family,
Please know how crushing this knowledge was and is to me. Don't want to believe it, and its so unfair! I have three children and canNOT fathom losing one. Alexis was a part of my life every day for 9 solid months at Boulder College of Massage Therapy. As one of the older two students, Alexis turned to me on occasion for support and strength. I really felt honored and I pray that I was able to give her those things. What a beautiful young lady, so warm and genuine and full of positive energy. Her smile would light up a room and it was pure joy to be around her. I'm so sorry for your loss... Please know how much she was loved here and that her memory and beautiful spirit will never fade from my heart. Especially while I am working in our field, that we are both passionate about... Much love and hugs being sent to you! Angie
