My wife and I were privileged to be among Bob's investment broker clients for more than 20 years -- through the days of Boettcher, Everen, First Union, Wachovia -- and finally Merrill Lynch. Bob had a great mind for investments and strategies and for what would fit us. He was always amicable, forthright and honorable in all of his dealings. We will miss him greatly as a trusted adviser -- and as a friend.
