My condolences to Ed’s family. He was a great man and great leader! I’ll always remember a talk he gave to Quarterly Forum on the importance of corporate culture at JD Edwards. His legacy in business will be long be remembered and he will be missed by those who were privileged to know him.

Linda and I are so sorry to hear of Ed's passing .We were told that he was sick ,but I could not find out any information about his condition.Linda and I always enjoyed being in his presence.I especially enjoyed our breakfasts in the summer when we were both at our ranches and the few times we fly fished together.I remember our fishing trip to Alaska and the fun we had running from the bears and catching lots of fish.Ed was a great man of faith and I look forward to our reunion in Heaven. Our love to Carole.Your family will be in our prayers.

Ed, McVaney was a passionate leader and a good human being. I was fortunate to work for the company in the late 90s and through the acquisitions. The JDE community is as strong as ever - I owe my entire professional life to J.D.Edwards team and its co-founders.
May his soul rest in Peace.

Ed was probably the most influential person on my life. He gave me the opportunity to work on software under his direct tutelage when I graduated in 1970, before JDEdwards. And he graciously hired me again in 1988, as a prodigal son of sorts. I have magical memories of times with him in England, walking the tow path along the Thames, and riding around the fifth floor car park in his Jag, trying to find the exit while simultaneously talking to Jim Foos in the US. He slept on the desk next to the computer as I debugged the very first system at Aspen. I admired Ed enormously, and will always be grateful to have known him He always said he would die with his hands on the keyboard...I wonder..
