Charles Zandell Obituary
November 28, 1935 - May 27, 2021
Charles H Zandell, 85, Aurora. Husband of Ilana Zandell of 62 years. Father of Marc Zandell, Jay Zandell, Sheryl Brown, and Lesa Zandell. Papa of Samuel Brown, Daniel Brown, Angelica Alvarado, Kayli Zandell, Aiden Zandell, Aaron Grumet and Emily Grumet.
He received his B.S. from the University of Buffalo and his Master's from the University of Kansas. He was a very successful Geologist and was involved in many Geological associations.
Charles had a joy for life being with his family and friends. He was a wine connoisseur and enjoyed going to wineries. He loved to travel and went to many places with his wife. An avid skier and golfer. He loved fly fishing and being outdoors. In the summer you could always find him in and around his garden or green house talking to his plants.
A husband, father, brother, best friend, Uncle and Papa, an inspiration and mentor. Some of his compassion, care, and kindness imbued with his warm wit and humor brought joy to all those privileged to be a part of Chuck's life.
Funeral service, 1:45PM, Friday, 5/28 at Emanuel Cemetery; In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Holocaust Museum in Washington DC.
