Kim: Coach Belshe made the world a better place. Like my brother Mike, I only let Chris tape my ankles for football. I also attended the scuba trip to San Clemente Island the year before (1976) and looking back he was the perfect combination of teacher, mentor, chaperone!?, and friend. He is sorely missed.

Dear Kim,
I hope you know how much you and Chris meant to Amanda and me. I know Chris was instrumental in helping Amanda through High School and giving her a sense of identity and destiny, a rare and wonderful gift. Since Amanda's dad was so far away, I felt that Chris was at times a second dad for her. Thank you, Kim for being there for Amanda in good and bad times. Your family is very special to us. You, like Chris, have made a great impact on many children and young adults' lives. God's blessings and comfort in this your time of grief and sorrow.
Your friend,
Lesa Liebermann
PS. Kim, if you read this could you please email me the charity to contribute to for you and Chris.

You will always be remembered, Coach Belshe. You had a great influence on my life, and as a result on my daughters. I forever carry with me your philosophy that "Champions Don't Make Excuses."

I can still fondly remember the Scuba trip to San Clemente Island off San Diego in the Spring of 1977. I had the pleasure of making a 122' "live-boat", decompression dive with Instructor/DiveMaster Mike Galey, Coach Larry Nelson and you, Coach Belshe!!
In addition, you were the only one who I would allow to tape me during my 3 years of football @ AHS. Thanks for your guidance, your service and your friendship. I know that I speak for each and every athlete who had the priviledge of your service at AHS. You are missed!! ;-)

Chris, we are your Cousins but we prefer to be know as your Aunt and Uncle.
We remember your days at Hrvey Park and can visualize you and your brothers in red blazers. Most of all, those family picnics in Aunt Ruth's back yard. You will not be forgotten. - Love, Harry and Dorothy

Coach Belshe, you always taught us to give 110%. More than that you taught us to believe in ourselves. Your memories and inspiration will be handed down to my own children for generations to come.

"Bubbles," you were such an inspiration to me. Just a few short weeks ago I was telling my son another "swimming class" story. I have spoken about you often since those days at Arapahoe. You were a great teacher, but more than that, you were a great human being. I was blessed to have known you.

I have so many fond memories of being part of the neighborhood swim team that Chris coached in the early 1980's. I know there are many adults who are wonderful people due to the positive influence Chris had on them during their teenage years.

To someone who made a difference, through the good and bad times of a difficult age, I am forever greatful for his influence, and compassion. He was a great man, and that is an understatement.
