Christopher Miranda Obituary

Chris was born 6/23/57 to Rose Marie & Augustine Miranda (preceded). Raised in Ft. Collins, Chris attended St. Joseph, Lincoln Jr. High & Poudre H.S. where Chris excelled in academics, sports & student government. Chris attended Stanford Univ. for 4 years followed by Law School at C.U. Chris began his career in Denver as an Attorney in 1982. Chris also taught law classes at C.U. , D.U. & for N.I.T.A. for many years. Chris was a member & term Pres. of the Hispanic Bar Asso. Chris’ achievements & service awards were many, but what Chris cherished most were his family and friends. Chris is survived by his wife of 6 years Mary D. Miranda, their daughter Mary Lauren Croswell. Mother Rose Marie Miranda, Grandmother Carolina Miranda, Brother Van Miranda & his wife Donna, nieces & nephews Dale, Abby, Julia, Caley, Hannah, Abby, Heidi, Amy, John Misha, Jonson, Tyler, & Monica, the Jack Storer family & multiple uncles, aunts & cousins of the Miranda & Maciel families. A Memorial Service will be held on 10/24/03 at 10 a.m. at John XXIII in Ft. Collins, 1220 University Ave. Contributions to the Chris Miranda Memorial Scholarship Fund may be sent c/o The Poudre Impala Fund, Poudre H.S., 201 Impala Dr. Ft. Collins, CO. 80521.

Chris was always a charming young man with high ambitions. I had Chris work in my research laboratory for a couple of summers and had him take the first two semesters of Freshman Chemistry for which he excelled and was his first university credits. What a pleasure to have been a small part of his life.
