Survived by his best friend, Judith Lurie, her three sons, George, Andrew, and Lester and their five daughters. Sister Dodie Proebstel Anderson, niece Kathleen Engels, nephew Buck Nevils, nephew Don Proebstel, great niece Jensen Proebstel, great nephew Luca Proebstel. Attended East High School in Denver and Colorado College.
