Ingrid, it was with great sadness that Cassie and I saw the notice of Don's passing. We think about Aurora often and remember Don's quiet humor and intelligence and his love of the city, and we know he will be greatly missed. You are in our hearts.

Ingrid, my heart is with you and your family at our loss of Don, but heaven's gain! I knew you mostly through the Aurora Historical Society, but often saw you and Don at various Aurora sightings--we are fixtures of Aurora actually. Love, prayers and gentle peace-filled memories, Janie Letofsky

Saddened to get this news. I extend my sympathy to the Lindemann family. First met Don in Germany many years ago and saw him most recently last year at a meeting of the Goethe Club of Denver. May he rest in peace.

For years, I've been amazed how Don, with his beloved Ingrid, enjoyed life and took advantage of every moment, whether it was a trip to a far-away place or enjoying a meal with friends. I had them over for dinner after my husband died, and Don took charge of fixing little things around my house. Boy, did I appreciate this! They were my models for their positive outlooks, love for each other and spirit of adventure, which never seemed to lessen.

In 2013, Don was selected as one of 3 Aurora Branch AAUW members to be an Educational Opportunity Fund honoree. (L to R: myself, Don and Jane McGrath)

What a wonderful man Don was. I am so glad to have met him. I enjoyed his company and appreciate all he contributed to our AAUW branch and the community. My heart goes out to Ingrid and his family--he was truly a gentleman and a gentle man. He touched so many and enriched all who met him. We miss you, Don!
