To the family of Mr. Haffey I wanted to extend my sincere appreciation for his life and unconditional compassion for those who surrounded him. My first experience when I came on the Missouri Western Foundation Board was to meet Ed and immediately feel his welcoming baritone voice. Soft spoken yet very present he brought me into his circle of friends. At every meeting he would look me up and ask me what good books I had read and then give me a couple he thought I might enjoy. I would then go out and get them and read them so we could chat about those at the next meeting. I will truly miss those and other opportunities he provided. He made a friend for life. May God Bless Ed and all of his family. Thank you Ed for caring.
