The family of Emma Marin are saddened to announce her passing. Emma was born in Fort Lupton, CO to parents Luis y Rita Garcia. Beloved mother of Paul Marin y Reyes Hortencia Vigil, (Ordie), and was loved by her lifelong partner Fernando Bernal. Her grandson Charles Vigil, (Carlos, Chuckie), with Roxanna Caldwell gave her great grandchildren Joshua, Alexandria and Hannah. Kelly Young gave her great grandchildren John and Justus. Emma was the youngest daughter of ten siblings: Jose Maria, Alex, Earnest, Arcenia, Elsie, Dora, Vicky, Johnny and Arthur whom all preceded her in death. She married / divorced Augustine Marin father of Ordie and Paul. Emma was a farmworker from the age of nine years old having to quit school to help support her family. Even with those early hardships Emma obtained her H.S. Diploma and some college education. She worked / retired from Denver Public Schools after eighteen years of service. Emma and Fernando were avid Mexican / Western dancers. In her younger years Emma would cry if she was unable to go dancing. Emma is now dancing in heaven with all of her Garcia family and friends. Ordie and Paul love their mother dearly and remember her for her perseverance and determination to succeed in life. Emma raised them as a sole provider and worked hard to make sure they were always taken care of. Emma achieved her dreams and goals of education, home ownership and a modest yet rich level of success. Her riches are still with those who received the endless supply of love and spirituality she gave unconditionally. Her children, grandchildren, family and friends can attest to that. Emma loved her extended family and friends dearly. May she rest in peace. Due to Covid restrictions, Celebration of Life services are pending after the holidays.
