I have such fond memories of Mr. Augenblick. He was such a kind and gentle man. As a dear friend of Kate's, I spent a lot of time with her family growing up and her Dad was something special. There were times when I actually mistook him for my own Dad since their hair coloring was the same. My love and condolences to the Augenblick family.

Gil was a wonderful, kind, intelligent, well-informed prince of a man, a gentleman born of another age, patient, active, with a zest for life. I would sometimes call him from New York, worried I was calling him too early, only to find he was already out horseback riding and enjoying the day. He sounded young and full voiced almost until the end. He was an inspiration.
I will truly miss him.
