Gregory V. "Greg" Rose obituary, Denver, CO

Gregory Rose Obituary

Gregory Vincent Rose "Greg," died of heart failure a few short weeks after his 50th birthday. Born in Denver, Colorado to Robert Vincent Rose of Berwyn, IL and his wife, Jean Cummings Rose of Lockney, TX, Greg spent his childhood in East Denver where his father established a successful real estate business. After living in California and Hawaii, Greg returned to Colorado where he worked in real estate investment and management. Greg was a passionate environmentalist and animal rights activist and volunteered many hours at animal shelters and assisting the elderly. With unceasing wit and a wry sense of humor, Greg always had a ready joke and could make even the most serious crack a smile. In his free time, Greg was a collector of classic cars and Egyptian memorabilia. He will be deeply missed by many, and most of all by his brother Jeffrey Robert Rose, his sister Laura Kathleen Rose, and his nephew Bryan Robert Rose. Donations may be made in Greg's memory to the World Wildlife Fund.

I prayed for years for a good man to come into my baby girls life. Than Greg Rose, as big as life itself came into my Giovy's life 5 1/2 years ago. I am so heart broken over the loss of such a 'Grand' and 'Special' Human Being. I Thank his Momma & Daddy Rose for sharing this most wonderful soul with us. I will forever be thankful for the man who made my baby girl (& me)smile on sight.
Our prayers and condolences go out to the entire Rose family. Our hearts are truly broken for you all. Soar with the Eagles
Come visit on the wings of the Owl
Watch over us in the eyes of the Crow
So long my friend.

It's with great sadness that I send my condolences. I so wanted to see Greg as an adult. In one of our last exchanges we talked about meeting up at a high school friend's restaurant. I was so thrilled at the idea of seeing him. He was such a treasured friend in high school and had such a warmness about him. I am heart sick but wanted to extend my sympathy, as I cannot image how shocked and saddened his wife, family and friends are at this time. God bless you all.

Jeff, Laura, and Bryan,
I was so very saddened by the news of Greg's passing. I had only rediscovered his friendship in the last seven or so years and yet I know that I will miss him and his great sense of humor. What do they say about old friends? Oh yes, they are gold. Know that your family is in my prayers.
