Hazel Eldora Beisker

BEISKER, HAZEL ELDORA Hazel was born September 1, 1926 on the family farm in Linton Township, Iowa. she resided on the family farm until marrying George Beisker in 1943 at the age of 17. After George returned from the service, they lived in Waukon, Iowa and later farmed near Volney and eventually bought a farm cast of Monona, Iowa where they raised their nine children until 1965. In 1965 they moved to Colorado due to Hazel's health problems. Hazel resided here for much of her remaining life. For a brief time, she moved to Altera Clairbridge in Denver, CO. The last few years of her life she resided at the Spring Wind Assisted Living Home in Laramie, Wyoming near her younger daughter Starlet and her family. She is survived by 8 children, 24 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren. Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Minnie Gilson; four sisters, Frances Miene, Lois Moose, Geneva Wahls and Alice Rooney; husband George Beisker; daughter, Alice Mae Beisker; grandson, Mark Beisker; and great-grandson, Jason Wood. Memorial service, Monday 11:30 a.m., Drinkwine Family Mortuary. Inurnment, Ft. Logan National Cemetery.
