Irene Parrish

FORSYTH - Irene Parrish, 92, of Forsyth, passed away Friday December 25, 2009 at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Funeral Service will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Dawson and Wikoff West Wood St. Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to service time. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Irene was born on October 29, 1917 the daughter of Herman and Lulu (Chalcraft) Edge. She was married on August 7, 1935 to Earl Parrish. He preceded her in death on June 16, 1994. She was a waitress at Pineys Sundown for many years until her retirement. Irene is survived by her daughters: Carol A. McKinley and husband Roger of Forsyth, IL and Virginia L. Doty of Decatur. Nine grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her daughter Marylin Davis, one brother and one sister. Obituary written by family members.
