Loreta Saurini Obituary
April 21, 1941 - August 6, 2023
Loreta (Baldassarra) Saurini passed away peacefully in her home on August 6, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born on April 21, 1941, in Sora, Italy to Vincenza Alonzi and Giuseppe Baldassarra.
In 1962 she married Vincenzo Saurini, and they sailed to the USA to pursue the American Dream. As a strong team they worked hard and smart to raise a family Blessed with Faith in God, strong values, and an exceptional sense of self-confidence and self-esteem. Together they provided very well for their four children and instilled in them a strong work ethic.
She was preceded in death by her parents Vincenza and Giuseppe, brothers Antonio, Fernando, Luigi, sisters-in-law Luciana and Anna Maria, sisters Maria and Gina, brothers-in-law Gino and Guido, nephew Alessandro, and nieces Enza, Letizia and Antonietta.
She is survived by her husband Vincenzo, children Anna (Paul), Tina (Tony) , Antonio (Susanna) and Lea (Ari), grandchildren Nicola, Marco, Ambra (Geoff), Antonio, Alessia, Matteo, Vincenzo and Luca, and great-granddaughter Chiara.
We will always remember her love of her family, love of all living things, making and sharing great food, her great sense of humor and contagious laughter, her warm hugs and kisses - but most of all for her huge and generous heart.
She was greatly cherished and passionately loved by her parents and siblings which easily gave her the ability to pass it on. She was a mother to more than just her own children. She was a sister to more than just her own siblings. She was a beloved aunt to her nieces and nephews and a beloved sister-in-law. She will be missed. We hope to be worthy of joining her in Heaven someday - when the time is right.
Visitation and Rosary are August 14, 2023 at 6:00 PM. The Funeral Mass is August 15, 2023 at 11:30 AM. Internment and reception will follow. All proceedings will occur at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery.
