Melvin MacKillip Obituary
Mel was born in Stamford, NY on February 19, 1925 and moved to Littleton in 1959. Mel was a decorated World War II veteran, retired Martin Marietta employee, and supported Phyllis from 1965-1988 at Woodlawn in the family business, Young World and the Guy's shop. Mel's ability to plan and analyse situations and his sense of humor and wit made him special. He enjoyed skiing, golf, and was a model airplane enthusiast.
Memorial service, Thursday 1:30 PM at Drinkwine Family Mortuary. Interment will follow at Ft. Logan National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to Porter Hospice.

Phyl and Mel were my surogate parents. I cannot remember not knowing them. When I married they made my husband feel like one of their own. Mel will ge greatly missed, and our thoughts and prayers go out to Phyllis, Mike, Judy and their families.
