Mildred J. Perkkio

90, Passed away peacefully May 5, 2010. Milly is survived by her loving son David, one grandson, two great grandsons, one niece, one nephew and a host of friends. Milly earned both her undergraduate and Masters Degrees in special education at the University of Minnesota. Milly taught numerous levels of junior and senior high school, going on to teach as an Associate Instructor in special education at the University of Hawaii. Milly taught all over the pacific and Alaska. Finally making Denver her home to be close to her son. Milly had a deep love for music and was a skilled classical and ragtime pianist. She also played the guitar, banjo and accordion. Milly lived a long and most fulfilling life. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
