What a full, productive, and meaningful life he had. We as a family were friends w them. I so fondly recall them from church and especially Judy as she was my sister's friend and classmate. We were sad when they moved to Kalamazoo but knew they were a happy and growing family. Many years later, I fondly recalled them and tracked down Min and June in Denver. What a lovely letter I received in reply to mine. I shall always treasure knowing them.

I considered the Mochizukis my second parents, and the hours I spent with the family are some of the most cherished of my life. I will hold them both in my heart forever, and I send deep and loving condolences to Judy, Nancy, Janet, Carol, and Ron.

It was a joy to have Min and June in our lives as part of our Montview Community in our lives. We also enjoyed our "interesting" connection to Dearborn. We shared a social justice ministry interest. They were a great couple in our community and each others lives. Marilynn & Jeff Ackermann

Dear Mochizuki Family,
Our prayers are with you for the loss of your dear father. He was an inspiration to us because of his leadership in the community and at Western Michigan University and because of his Christian faith. I learned about Uncle Min's invitation to Martin Luther King to speak at WMU. The family gatherings for the holidays were nice with your family, the Hori, Okamuro & Kiino family. Hope your family will find peace during this time. Carol

Min was a wonderful caring man. With his lovely wife June, they made an amazing couple. I was introduced to Min and June by our mutual friends, Bill & Alice Hosokawa. Min volunteered many hours to support the Japan America of Colorado and I always enjoyed working with him. He and June will be missed !!

The Mochizuki family was such an important part of our family life at First Presbyterian Church in Kalamazoo. I last saw Min and June at the WMU memorial service for Yukiko Murakami in the early 2000s. Min was Min and so happy to see me after many, many years. Anyone who was fortunate to have Min and/or June in their lives was fortunate indeed!❤❤❤

June and I were colleagues at WMU Counseling Center for 25 years and I spent many evenings with the Mochizuki family trying to learn to eat with chopsticks! I was a guest at many weddings and once visited them in Denver. What a lot of marvelous memories. My love and sympathy go out to their entire family....I know you must miss them both.

I grew up with Judy, and had the great honor of meeting Dr. Mochizuki a few years ago. What a terrific man! I was so impressed by his accomplishments.

Judy, I am so sorry for your loss.

My parents, June and Russ Strong, were friends of Min and June in their early years in Kalamazoo (I think June and June were bridge friends with similar aged children. We moved away in 1963 and eventually contact dropped. Occasionally a story about Min surfaced - when he got a call at home one Saturday afternoon asking if he was coming to First Pres. to perform a wedding for one of his favorite students. He put on long pants, threw his clerical robes over his garden clothes, washed his hands and rushed to the church, only about 15 minutes late.

Dear Mochizuki family, Thank you for sharing Uncle Min with our family. We appreciate your parents' special friendship with our mother. Kelly and I grew up feeling her love and friendship for them and from the moment we met them both, they were family. All of you felt like family. Such an amazing family they raised!
Thank you for sharing your parents with us. We will cherish all of their your stories and their life lessons. I am sure Aunty June was waiting for Uncle Min with open arms and a beautiful quilt. All our love, Chris and Kelly
