In our junior year of high school, Nan and I would meet 3 mornings a week to play tennis. She was extraordinarily cheerful, never losing her temper if she blew a shot -- in fact she usually laughed at a blunder. Never saw her after graduating, but I can't imagine anyone sweeter.

I am so extremely saddened by this news. Nan was a great buddy on my block and a wonderful friend. I am additionally saddened that her sister has also passed away. They were way too young.
