Richard Buichi Ida passed away on Tuesday September 19th, 2023. He is survived by his wife DJ (Kato), his son David, daughter-in-law Naomi and granddaughter Julianna who live in Madrid. Richard was the oldest of the four Ida siblings and is also survived by his brother Ron, sister Janet (Sasa), her husband Paul, their daughter Leslie and his brother Robert, his wife Gail and their children Geoffrey, Kathryn, her husband Alex Perilli, Jonathan, his wife Alleson, their son Henry and many cousins and extended family members. He was loved by all and will be missed dearly. A service will be held at Simpson Methodist Church at 6001 Wolf St. in Arvada on Friday September 29 at 10:30 am. Rich played a major role in putting together the annual Go For Broke Golf Tournament which raises funds for the Japanese American Community Scholarship Program. The family would therefore like to request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the JACSP and sent to PO Box 13665, Denver CO 80201-3665.

My sincere condolences to all of Rich's family! I worked at EPA with Rich for 23 years. I didn't work in his branch, but I did know him to be kind, fun, and a delightful man to work with. Blessings to all of you as you grieve his loss and celebrate his life!
