Robert Myre Obituary

Myre, Robert "Bob"

Bob Myre, beloved brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully in his home January 11, 2023. Bob grew up in Denver, graduating from East High School in 1959. He then went on to graduate from CSU, Fort Collins, with a bachelor of science degree in 1964. Following a brief, but thrilling stint driving 18-wheelers, Bob joined the Navy in 1966, as a pilot, serving his country with dedication and honor.

After his military service, Bob started his own company which specialized in representing manufacturers of electromechanical and mechanical parts for ski boots, computers, and aerospace equipment. He sold his company in 1996. During his retirement and lifetime, Bob traveled extensively, traveling to all 50 states and all over the world. He was a long-time supporter of Project Angel Heart, Denver Hospice, and the Denver Foundation.

Bob will be remembered for his zest for life, his infectious laugh that could light up a room, and his spirit of adventure. He is survived by his brother Gary Myre (Cheryl), sister Ginny Rockwood (John), nieces, nephews, and numerous amazing friends. His journey was filled with remarkable experiences, cherished friendships, and countless fond memories.

Celebration of Life will be Sunday, July 23, 4-7pm at Hamburger Mary's in Denver.
