Zettle, Robert Everette

Robert Everette Zettle passed away peacefully in Denver, Colorado on Tuesday, January 17th at the age of 83.

Everette, fondly known as E.Z. was born to Robert and Annabelle Zettle in Savannah, Georgia on October 6, 1939, with whom he shared a special bond throughout their lives.

Everette was a decorated United States Army veteran who served his country proudly during the Vietnam War and was a long time resident of Hollywood, Florida. He maintained a successful construction and contracting career spanning 45 years, which produced many landmark projects throughout the state.

Everette was an avid motorcyclist throughout his life and enjoyed riding through the countryside with his wife and riding club. He also shared his love of the great outdoors with all of his children and eventually retired to Denver, Colorado where he found much joy in gazing at and riding through the Rocky Mountains.

Everette will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Mary Jo, his children, David, Barbara, Monique, Jesse and Christopher, along with 12 loving grandchildren, and 10 loving great grandchildren and his beloved Aunt Shirley. Everette is predeceased by his parents, Robert and Annabelle Zettle and his daughter, Sherry Stannis.

He was a loving husband, father and amazing role model, whose strength of character and peaceful nature was admired by all that knew him. He will be dearly missed by his entire family for whom he dedicated his life.

Services will take place at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado on February 24, 2023 - 10:15 AM. Friends and Family will gather for a remembrance at 3:00 PM following the services. Please email: memorial12423@outlook.com for details.
